^{Miyako gained this move recently after she wished to be strong. Before her wish, she was only ever allowed to learn status moves. When her mother finally allowed her to learn an attacking move, she knew exactly which move it would be. With money from a week's worth of allowance (and her mother's tentative blessing), Miya purchased Blizzard for herself. She bought it because heard that it was the strongest ice type move, and it complemented Hail and her ability. Since Miyako has never used an attacking move before, she has a hard time controlling blizzard. It will often do 2/3 of its normal damage, and it also takes a lot of energy for Miyako to preform leaving her weak and vulnerable to attacks for 5 seconds after use.}

  Borrowing the power of the moon, the user attacks the target. This may also lower the target's Sp. Atk stat.
   ^{A move that was passed down to Miyako from her father, who is a Primarina. Her mother made her learn a move to override moonblast when she was younger, but she recently had her father re-teach it to her. He was happy to do so, though he joked for her not to tell her mother.
    After Miyako uses this move, she experiences a mild headache for a short while after. She may only use this move three times per battle.}

This move reduces damage from physical and special moves for five turns. This can be used only in a hailstorm.
**Miyako received these Hail and Aura Veil from her overprotective mother. Every time Miyako would learn an offensive move, her mother would replace it with a status move TM. It was a way of making sure Miyako would not hurt herself accidentally. Miya's mom liked Hail and Aurora Veil in particular because together they could ward off potential attackers and keep Miyako safe without causing her any direct harm.

A wish Miyako made out of pure desperation to be free from a life where people would always look down on her for being helpless and weak. Miyako lived in solitude most of her life, only ever knowing doctors, nurses, and her family. Because her mother was older when she had Miyako, several complications arose during pregnancy. Because she was born prematurely, Miyako's nervous system was not fully developed rendering her paralyzed from the waist down. Her wish healed her ailment and made her physically stronger than most girls her age, and can lift up to twice her bodyweight (252lbs, 114kg). When her legs healed, it was seen as a medical miracle by doctors who were perplexed by how she had suddenly grown nerves that she never had before. Her sudden recovery was chalked up to the years of treatment and physical therapy finally taking effect.

T3 Weapon || Yōsha
A unique blade which, due to it's design, may be split apart and used as dual swords. It is most effective when used swiftly.

Weapon abilities:
T1 || Stronger as One
Miyako Raises her sword to the sky, and a shimmering light connects it and up to four other allied weapons within a moderate radius from Miyako. The weapons are sharpened, giving them a moderate Power Boost for one minute. There is a 3 minute cooldown between uses.

T2 || Frozen Touch
Miyako is able to slow down one significantly after slicing them with her blade. Their muscles tense up and it’s hard for them to move for thirty seconds, especially in the area where her blades sliced them. Witches can break free from this in ten seconds. Miyako wait 1 minute before using this ability again.

T3 || Scattered and Lost
On a killing blow, Miyako is able to slice her blade forward and knocks the enemy back, freezing them entirely in a case of ice. She then bursts forward and stabs them with her sword causing them to shatter into shards of ice that blast out and damage any remaining enemies in a nearby radius for a moderate amount of damage. The target must be very low health otherwise this ability fails. This ability cannot be used on witches or other magicals. There is a cooldown of 5 minutes after use.

An ornately decorated parrying shield, which can be used to cause blunt damage.

Weapon abilities:
T1 || Charge Forth
Miyako charges up her weapon for three seconds before bursting forward and rushing through any enemy in front of her. Any enemies hit by this charge attack will suffer damage and be knocked down. 1 1/2 minute cooldown

T2 || Got Your Back
Selecting one target or herself, Miyako’s Shield levitates, duplicates itself three times, and rotates around the target, creating a barrier of shields. The Shields provide extra protection to the target for one minute, knocking back any enemy who gets too close with a burst of light. A well aimed long range attack may be able to make it through the space between the shields, and Miyako cannot use her shield while this ability is in effect. The target is still able to attack through the shields. 2 minute cooldown.

T3 || Knight’s Blessing
Miyako Raises her Shield to the Sky. A shimmering light shines down on up to three allies including herself, healing them significantly. This healing provides a short period of immunity after use. 1 minute cooldown.

Soul Gem:
Miyako's soul gem is in the shape of three diamonds. It's embedded in the chainmail on her upper back when she's transformed.
The gem is an icy blue.

Powers:

T3 | Hyper Focus

Miyako commands the attention of three targeted enemies within a medium radius from her for 30 seconds. They will focus all of their attacks and movements on her, ignoring all other magicals on the field no matter how viciously they are being attacked.

At T2, Miyako may now direct the targets' aggression to an item or another target of her choice. This can be used to distract enemies or pin them against each other. Miyako can direct the aggression of familiars onto other magicals, but she is not able to use the main power on them directly.
At T3 This power Taunts the targets as well, raising the power of their attacks slightly, but lowering their defense significantly for it’s duration.

This power can affect witches, but only for ten seconds instead of thirty. Miyako’s joints ache after each use, causing her to react slower for a short amount of time. This power has a one minute and thirty seconds cooldown after each use.

T3 | Chakra Manipulation

Miyako hits pressure points on her enemy immobilizing them for 30 seconds.

At T2 Miyako is able to enhance her own reflexes for a few minutes. This allows her to more easily access the pressure points on her targets and helps her perform feats of great flexibility that she wouldn’t have been able to perform before. Along with stiff muscles, She will feel out of breath for a few moments after using this ability.
At T3, using this powers on allies will loosen their muscles and make them feel invigorated for a few minutes, enhancing the power of their attacks.

This does not work fully on witches. Instead it slows their movements slightly for the duration of the power. Miyako’s muscles feel stiff and stressed after each use, and she has to take a moment to relax before continuing to fight. This power has a one minute cooldown.

Miyako is a sturdy young lady and doesn't let petty issues get under her skin. She's very patient and is able to keep her cool when things aren't going exactly as planned. This helps her think through her actions and make calculated and reasoned decisions in stressful situations. She can take insults with a shrug and isn't easy to instigate into a fight or argument unless she is forced to defend herself. Despite it being hard for her to put herself in other’s shoes, she’s willing to listen and respect their opinions and ideas.

A trait she acquired from dealing with her perfectionist mother and her will to never be pitied again. No matter how many times she is brought down, she does her best to stand up taller after. She will always try to push herself to do better and become stronger. She does not cry over her mistakes and instead takes her failures as a means to improve. For example, if she does not do well on a quiz or homework she will review the concepts she did poorly on more thoroughly for the exam. She is also very loyal to those who do right by her and will help those who have helped her in the past. Being alone most of her life has caused her to appreciate even people who are just simply kind to her. She will do what she can to repay them for this.

Miyako lived in fear her whole life: fear of never being able to live up to expectations, fear of never being free, fear of being an outcast. She's done being scared. After making her wish, she realized she couldn't live behind her mother anymore and had to step up for herself. She still gets scared, of course, but deals with her fears head on instead of running away. She does know when to step down and try different angles if a challenge is too much for her, though.

=Calm=
Having to deal with different stressful situations for most of her life has made Miyako into a very calm and calculating young lady. She knows how to deal with stress and can keep a level head even in the heat of battle. She always takes time to think about what she's going to say or do in different situations and is very good at hiding her emotions. She, unfortunately, has a habit of closing herself and her emotions off from others. This calmness often makes her come across as an unemotional robot at times when she should be showing emotion.

=Observant=
Going along with the previous trait, Miya is able to keep a level head and observe situations around her for optimal solutions to problems. She takes time to think about her words and actions before following through and tries not to make rash decisions. This makes her quite good at avoiding conflict and turning a situation around to her benefit. She's very good at reading body language and does her best to use this to her advantage. Sometimes she does overthink things too much and can be a bit nosy. Her calculated and delayed response may make her seem uninterested or manipulative when having a conversation.

=Quiet=
As a child, Miyako was taught to be respectful and never speak out of turn. She took this to heart and became a very quiet girl. She didn't think she really had much to talk about anyway much less anyone to talk to. She spent much of her spare time in a quiet room by herself, reading a book or playing her Cello. This causes her to often not speak up about her worries, instead choosing to bottle them up. Even so, She's a very good listener and will let you vent to her if you need to. Just don't expect her to be very good at giving advice.

-Blunt-
When she does speak, Miyako has a bad habit of laying everything out exactly how she sees it. She isn't afraid to be brutally honest and doesn't care if it hurts your feelings. She sees the truth as the best way to bring someone to their senses and won't try to hide anything she thinks is important. If you can't sing, or your hair looks like a bird's nest, she will let you know point blank.

-Cold-
Miyako has trouble empathizing with others. She feels like you should take your struggles, strive through them, and grow from them without whining. It's just life. Unfortunately, this makes her come off as quite cold-hearted. She does care about those close to her, she just doesn't believe that letting them wallow in self-pity is beneficial to them. She also has a hard time showing her true emotions. This is due to her being closed off from the world for so long and having to stay quiet and accept whatever her mother told her to do. Despite being unable to empathize properly, she is not stubborn. She is willing to hear someone out if they have an explanation for their actions.

-Distant-
Being an introverted person with little to no friends before entering Mitakihara Middle School, Miyako can seem very distant to her peers. She's not someone who particularly enjoys social settings, and prefers to work alone. She will work in groups if absolutely necessary, or if it is beneficial to her. This doesn't mean she won't interact with others. She does want to make friends now that she's in middle school, she's just very picky about who she chooses to spend her time with and doesn't open herself up to just anyone.

A very strict, formal woman. She's a perfectionist and always takes extra time to fix up the house and make sure everything is pristine. In her early years, she was a free bird and loved to travel the world, leaving for America with her husband when they married. She blamed herself for Miyako's disability after having her so late in life, which made her a very overprotective mother.
Miyako has mixed feelings about her mother. On one side, Her mother was there for her whole life and really did care about her. However, her mother was also the source of a lot of her grief. She made her feel weak, helpless and like she needed protection at all times. Junko was smothering Miya, and this left a bitter taste in the young girl's mouth.

Miyako's Father is a stern businessman. He is the head spokesperson and marketing director for a large automotive corporation which took off in Europe and is now trying to plant roots in America. This has made him very formal, and quite wealthy. He loves his daughter and wishes he could spend more time with her. He regrets not being able to be there for her when she was young.
Miyako is very indifferent toward her father. She grew up only seeing him a month or two at a time since he travels for most of the year.

Since Miyako was restricted to playing inside and wasn't allowed to go to school, her cousin Takako was the only girl her age she got to play with regularly. The two were only a year apart, and they were like glue when they were young. Unfortunately, as time went on their connection grew more and more distant. This separation was especially apparent as Takako was allowed to go to school, leaving Miyako alone at home. Miyako sometimes wrote letters to Takako. She was hopeful that they could stay in touch. Takako did write back at first, but eventually, she stopped communicating with Miyako altogether.

History:

Miyako Yua was not supposed to be born. Her mother, Junko, always had trouble when trying to bear a child and had several miscarriages early in her marriage. Years went by without any luck, and Junko and Miyako's father, Yasuo, had all but given up on having a child of their own. When Junko found out she was pregnant at age forty-two, she was very wary and didn't let herself get excited at first. The pregnancy had several complications due to Junko's age, but she was willing to go through with it so that she might have a child of her own. Doctors warned the two hopeful parents of possible defects and premature birth, but the two were desperate for a child, no matter the cost.

Miyako was born two weeks before her due date in Mitakihara City Hospital. She was small and weak, but she was alive. The baby had to be kept in the NICU for the first few weeks. During this time, doctors noticed a lack of movement and feeling in Miyako's legs. They told her parents that she may never be able to walk like a normal child. Extra time would have to go into her care. The two new parents’ lives had to change. They were used to traveling due to Yasuo’s job working as a marketing director for a large company. The constant moving would be too hard on the weak baby. Junko did not hesitate to give up her previous life for her child. She felt it was her own body’s fault that Miyako could never live a normal life, and would do all she could to protect their daughter from any further harm. She stayed with Miyako in their summer home in Mitakihara while her husband worked overseas.

As time went on, Junko became overprotective of her only daughter to the point of obsession. Besides being confined to a wheelchair, the young vulpix had several other complications that Junko had to watch out for. The young girl's immune system was poor, and she had several allergies to common foods. She also had asthma and had to have an inhaler nearby at all times. Because of these factors, Miyako was given a strict diet to follow and wasn't allowed to leave home without Junko. The constant observation and restrictions often made Miyako feel like she was a prisoner in her own home, at even as young as two years old.

Even though her early childhood was more constrained than most children's, Miyako remembers this time in her life very fondly, for, starting when Miya was three years of age, her cousin Takako often spent the day with the Yua family. During this time, the two young girls became quite close and were near inseparable. They were complete opposites in personality but actually complimented each other quite well. Takako was a free spirit, convincing Miyako to go on adventures with her around the house, while Miyako was the reasonable one, making sure Takako didn't do anything she would regret. Regardless, Takako's recklessness often got the pair in trouble with Junko. Miyako didn't like getting scolded, but couldn't help feeling a little bit more free when she and Taka snuck outside to play or stole a few sweets while her mother wasn't looking. These frivolous days didn't last long, however, for when Takako turned six, she was old enough for school and didn't need to be babysat by Mrs. Yua any longer. Meanwhile, Junko started seven year old Miyako in a home-school program, fearing that her daughter would be unsafe in a regular school environment.

From then on, Miyako was put on a strict schedule throughout the day. She was expected to get up, eat, and study at specific times, and was only allowed to play outside in the garden for an hour or two each day (only with her mother's supervision). This was very suffocating for the poor girl, but she bore with it. She needed special care, after all, and her mother had to provide it. For six long years, the only times she was able to relax and have a little time for herself was when she was practicing cello or reading a book before bed. These moments helped her to escape her dreary life and made her mother's constant hovering a little more bearable.

The first time Kyubey appeared to Miyako, she was thirteen years old. The vulpix had just had her birthday and received an ice stone from her mother as a gift. It was a proud moment for Miya, as she thought this meant she had gained her mother's respect. The truth was less flattering. Junko, after several failed attempts at physical therapy with Miyako, had placed her last hopes for her daughter's recovery in evolution. Evolution was meant to make you stronger and giving Miyako the ice stone was an attempt at healing her daughter. It was unsuccessful.

Thinking that Junko held more trust in her, Miyako did something she was never brave enough to do before. She asked for a little freedom. She pleaded to be able to go to school with her cousin like a normal girl now that she was stronger. However, Junko felt bitter that her plan had failed. Being reminded that, because of her mistakes, her child could not have a normal life caused immense pain. She scolded Miyako harshly for putting her own health and safety under something silly like where she studied. She accused Miya of being ungrateful for what she did have: a safe home. "I try to help you by letting you evolve, and this is the thanks I get?" Junko shouted in a fit of rage. A heavy silence filled the room. Junko looked down at her daughter and saw pain. She looked away, holding back her own tears. Shocked and hurt, Miyako was sent up to her room.

Miyako was sobbing to herself when she heard footsteps on her window sill. There she saw an unusual feral sylveon. "I'm Kyubey," he introduced. "And I’d like you sign a contract with me and become a magical girl!" Miyako was shocked, and despite being a complete wreck she took a moment to compose herself. Intrigued, she asked the little creature to explain. “I can grant any wish your heart desires! In return, you must sign a contract with me.” Was what he was saying true? Could she really be able to walk that easily? She pondered his offer, glancing over to her wheelchair. Then she remembered what her mom had said earlier: how she should be grateful for all that she has. Wiping her tears she replied, "I was born with this curse, and I should live with it. Many others have it worse than me." Still, there was a hint of uncertainty in her voice. The strange creature flicked his tail and turned it's head to the side. "Well, I can’t force you. If you change your mind, let me know." And he left as quickly as he appeared.

And so, Miyako continued to endure her monotonous life; a life where she would never live like a normal child. She stuck to her schedule and made her mother happy. When she wasn't being distracted by constant doctor visits, studying, and cello lessons, she found her mind drifting back to the night she had met the strange sylveon. Was it all just a dream? she wondered, but it seemed so real.... so vivid.

A year passed, and Miyako had almost forgotten about the whole incident. She was almost fourteen, and her Mother had allowed her to plan a proper party for her birthday. This was something Miyako had never experienced before, as she had always just spent her birthday with her mother. However, Junko wanted to make this year special, since she still felt guilty for Miyako spending her last birthday in tears. Junko invited family friends and doctors to fill out the party. Miyako’s father was going to be in town, and probably most exciting was the invitation to Miyako's cousin Takako, whom she hadn't seen in years. There would even be a big birthday cake, which something Miya wasn't usually allowed to have.

After two weeks of planning, the day of the party arrived. Miyako waited at the door in her best dress greeting guests. She saw her doctors and her mother's friends as they walked through the door. But as time went on, it became painfully clear that two important people were missing: Miya's Father, and Takako. Her mother eventually ushered her away from the door so they could get the party started. Three hours passed filled with small talk, a cello performance from Miya, and a gift opening. Even though the party seemed to be going well, Miyako couldn't help but gaze at the door every now and then, hopeful.

When Junko and Miyako stepped into the kitchen to bring out the birthday cake, Miyako gathered the courage to speak up about the two missing guests. She asked where her father was, and if Takako was coming. Junko smiled in a guilty way. "I'm sorry honey, Takako didn't accept the invitation, and your father texted me today saying his plane had been delayed due to an engine failure. He won't be able to make it back." Miyako was heartbroken by the news that her mother kept from her. "Why didn't you tell me before?" She asked. Her mom shook her head. "I didn't want you to have to worry. You're such a fragile little girl. I wanted you to have fun and not become ill with worry." Miya was silent, rage building inside her. But she held her tongue. "Now remember, dear, only one slice of cake tonight. And don't forget your to take your tablets so you don't get sick." Her mother patted her on the head, and they brought out the cake together.

There was singing from the guests, but Miya couldn't hear it. She felt weak, helpless, and embarrassed. Even now, her mother didn't respect her. She looked around to see her mom's friends and her doctors. They weren't her friends. They were substitutes. She didn't have any real friends. Her cousin didn't even want to come. And her dad was too busy to be a part of her life. She looked up at the faces that were illuminated by the candlelight. They weren't excited, they were sympathetic. She could hear their thoughts. Poor little Miya-chan, They read, poor sick, helpless, friendless girl. This wasn't a birthday party, she realized. It was a pity party.

Miyako felt a pit start to form in her stomach. She saw the world around her blur, the outline of shocked faces, and the world turned black.

She woke up to steady beeping and noticed she was in a hospital bed. Her mother was in a chair next to her, sleeping. Miyako turned toward the window, which had been opened to let in the fresh night air. She slowly realized that she had fainted. Perhaps due to stress that she was too weak to handle. A wave of sickness came over her stomach, as she remembered the events that had taken place before she blacked out. Holding the generic hospital pillow close to her, she bit her lip. Silent tears fell from her eyes. Her mother was right all along. She really was helpless. She would always be a burden on her family. She would always be looked down on and would never have a real friend. She would never be able to live like a normal girl, and there was nothing she could do to change that... or was there? She looked up at the open window once again, a faint memory of a night quite like this one coming back to her. “Kyubey-“ she whispered out. “I’m ready.” A pink tail flicked back and forth in the moonlight.

-True Neutral Alignment
- She's allergic to several foods including peanuts, avocado, cocoa, and tree nuts. She's also lactose intolerant. The school is aware of these allergies, and the school nurse carries supplements and epinephrine injections specifically for her.
- Because she only wished to be stronger, her allergies were not affected by her wish.
-She's very annoyed by this fact, and regrets not making her wish a little more specific.
- Her asthma was healed by her wish, however, as her bronchus became stronger.
- She loves tea and coffee which she drinks either black or with soy milk and a hint of sugar.
- She's a fairly competent magical so far despite being new, but she still has a lot to learn
-After her legs were healed, Miyako was able to gather the courage to ask her mother to attend a real school once more. Junko, finally free from the guilt she had felt for the past fourteen years, agreed under the condition that Miyako attended a safe school that wasn’t too far from home.
-Mitakihara Middle school was the obvious choice, as the school had a wonderful reputation and would be able to cater to Miyako’s personal needs.
